Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this service. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

U.S. audience only

This service is intended only for users located in the United States to discover U.S. class action settlements. If you are outside the United States, do not use the service.

Settlement data and calculations

Settlement data is scraped, aggregated, and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Payout amounts, deadlines, and eligibility criteria shown are estimates and not guarantees. Payout calculators, "money found" totals, claim counts, and notifications are heuristic and estimated—actual eligibility and amounts depend on third-party settlement administrators and their proof requirements. You must verify all details with the official settlement administrator before acting.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for filing claims, meeting deadlines, and for any loss from missed, rejected, or underpaid claims. We are not liable for missed payouts. You must decide whether to file any claim and verify all deadlines and requirements with the official administrator. We do not file claims on your behalf.

External links and third-party services

External claim links, Gmail deep links, Discord, email launch services, and settlement administrator sites are third-party properties. We do not control their security, terms, or data handling. We are not responsible for content, privacy practices, security, or any issues arising from these external sites or services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms. We disclaim all liability for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your use of or interaction with third-party services.

Subscriptions and payments

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. Their terms and policies apply to purchases.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your device's app store settings before the renewal date.
• We may change subscription prices with notice. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
• Cancellation must be done through your device's app store (Settings → Subscriptions). We cannot cancel subscriptions directly.
• Refunds are subject to Apple, Google, and RevenueCat policies. Contact your app store for refund requests.
• Paying for a subscription does not guarantee you will receive any payout or that you are eligible for any settlement.
• Credits and referral rewards are promotional, have no cash value unless explicitly stated, can be changed or revoked for fraud or abuse, and may be capped or expire.
• Billing history and subscription data stored in our systems (including Firestore) is informational only. Entitlement decisions come from RevenueCat and app store records.

Communications and support

Support messages sent through the app are routed to third-party services (including Discord) for processing. These messages are not confidential or privileged. Do not send sensitive personal information, financial details, or legal documents through support channels.

Acceptable use and user representations

You represent and warrant that: (a) all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and not misleading; (b) you will not falsify eligibility information, claim status, or any data; (c) you will not use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the service; (d) you will not game, manipulate, or abuse the referral system; (e) you will not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code; (f) you will not attack, disrupt, or interfere with the service; (g) you will not use the service for unlawful activity; and (h) you will not spam referrals or engage in fraudulent activity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice or refund, for any violation of these terms, fraud, abuse, or any activity we determine is harmful to the service or other users.

User warranties

You warrant that information you provide is accurate and does not infringe others' rights. You agree to comply with applicable laws when using the service, filing claims, and sending referrals.

Intellectual property and user-generated content

App content and software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of user-generated content (chat messages, feedback, referrals). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating and improving the service, providing support, and processing referrals.

Third-party trademarks, logos, and settlement information are used for identification only with no affiliation or endorsement implied. All third-party intellectual property remains the property of their respective owners.

DMCA and IP notices: If you believe content infringes your intellectual property rights, send a notice to legal@payoutfinder.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) location of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

Service availability and warranties

Service is provided "as is" and "as available" with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or uninterrupted access. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. The service may experience downtime, errors, interruptions, or maintenance periods. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of data or information.

Liability limit and indemnification

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the service is capped at USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, regardless of the theory of liability.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PayoutFinder and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit or transmit through the service.

Dispute resolution

Arbitration (with opt-out): Except for small claims court actions (claims under $10,000) or claims seeking injunctive relief, any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You may opt out within 30 days of accepting these terms by emailing legal@payoutfinder.com with your account email and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, or if arbitration is found unenforceable, disputes will be resolved in the courts identified below.

Arbitration venue and costs: Unless you and PayoutFinder agree otherwise, the arbitration will be conducted in your county of residence (if in the US) or by remote video/teleconference. Fees are allocated under the AAA Consumer Rules; where required to keep consumer arbitration affordable, we will cover the consumer portion of filing or arbitrator fees for non-frivolous claims under $10,000.

Class action and jury trial waiver: Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. Class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceedings are not allowed. You and PayoutFinder waive any right to a jury trial.

Small claims carveout: Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court in your county of residence (US) or, if no local small claims option exists, in Connecticut, USA.

Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by the laws of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for any litigation (outside arbitration) shall be in Connecticut, USA. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

App stores and platform terms

If you download the app from Apple or Google, their terms govern your purchase and refunds. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing the service, support, or handling any claims. To the maximum extent allowed, Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms regarding your licensed use of the app, and they may enforce those provisions.

Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to changes, you must stop using the service and may cancel your subscription (if applicable) through your app store.
